Mission Statement
St. Mary's Diocesan School is a Catholic Secondary School committed to the development of the whole person offering equal opportunities to all to achieve their full potential in a familial Christian environment.
The school aspires to an education based on high ideals and a broad curriculum which will allow our students to confidently play their role in society.
School Achievements
We pride ourselves on our achievements in academic, sporting, cultural and environmental areas.
Some highlights:
Academic: 74% of our students went to third level in 2010 (Irish Times Oct 2010)
Sports: We are U16 All Ireland soccer champions as well as achieving outstanding individual results in Athletics and a North Leinster title in basketball
Cultural: Two of our students Alex Hibbits & David O'Boyle were overall winners in the North Leinster Schools Got Talent Competition at the TLT (see article)
Environmental: We have increased our recycling of paper and plastics by 30% due to the efforts of our Green School Committee
