About Us

History of St. Mary's The school was established in 1965 by Brother Dan Moore and was then under the management of the Irish Christian Brothers. From the small beginnings of two teachers and thirty five pupils occupying the hall of the local National School it has grown to the present college for eight hundred pupils with teaching staff of over fifty. Since those early days more than three thousand students have passed through its doors. Their lives have been shaped and influenced by the education they received there. The Christian Brothers left in 1986 and the school became a Diocesan College under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath.

Aims
We aim to develop a community of learning in which each pupil's talents, physical, intellectual, and spiritual, may unfold as fully as possible in an atmosphere of openness, confidence and generosity. We seek to promote in all our students qualities of honesty and integrity and the capacity for authentic, courageous self expression. Our motto “In Christo Confido” inspires us to promote the emergence of reflective, articulate and commited Christians, with a deep sense of their vocation to shape their world according to the values of the Gospel.
